The Economic Restructurings Committee
has the primary responsibility of gathering and interpreting market
information that we can use to create an economic development strategy
for our downtown area. This includes working with the North
Central Economic Development Corporation to offer facade improvement
loans and micro loans for starting up businesses. Additionally,
they offer educational seminars on topics such as banking and writing
business planes. The Economic Restructuring Committee also
developed a Bricks and Mortar Grant. This is funded by MAIN STREET
fund raisers and private donations.
Bricks & Mortar Grants

The purpose of the Bricks and Mortar Grant is to provide a
resource to help downtown businesses and building owners with
their revitalization efforts to stimulate
exterior improvements in a targeted area.

Facade Improvement Loans

The Façade Improvement Loan being offered at a low interest rate can be utilized when a property owner is making improvements to the overall façade including windows, awnings, façade painting and staining, tuck pointing and brick restoration. |
